Nothing reminds us of Fall like pumpkin. The spicy warmth of classic Pumpkin pies with a butter crust pairs perfectly with whipped cream, hot coffee and quiet evenings. Long a staple for Thanksgiving, the Pumpkin pie has been elevated to a unique culinary delight with the layering of praline or pecans.
We have holiday pies available to be ordered this year, and have expanded our offerings to include two new pies: Pumpkin Praline, and Pumpkin Pecan. These are limited and are available from Nov. 1 thru Dec. 24, after which they disappear for another year. Pumpkin Praline mini-pies were recently featured at the Castro Valley Orchestra - Big Band and Beethoven.
These two new pies have double layers: imagine a coconut pecan layer with a pumpkin custard layer on top. This Pumpkin Praline pie is excellent when served warm with ice cream or light whipped cream.
Our second offering is two pies in one: a classic Pecan Pie lower layer, with Pumpkin Pie as the top layer. This is the best of both worlds, and is wonderful when served cool with hot tea or coffee.
And of course, we always have Pecan Pie for those who enjoy a southern style Bourbon Maple Pecan classic, and French Apple is here through March.
Our pies are made to order; they will be delivered to your door frozen two days before Thanksgiving with instructions for baking. If you prefer, we also deliver fully cooked pies with instructions for reheating. These pies are only available in the greater Bay area, as we personally bring them to you and believe that a pie should be fresh, local, and delicious!
We have gluten-free and low sugar versions available at no extra charge, of course.
There are two sizes: 4” tarts, and 9” pies.
